The curtains have fallen on this edition of the Canton Fair, one of the world’s most influential trade events linking manufacturers and global buyers. For the team of Hebei Huaming Laye Limited Company, this fair was far more than a product showcase. It represented weeks of preparation, cross-team coordination, in-person talks with international purchasers and valuable market insights that will guide our home fragrance and candle product plans. We recap our Canton Fair journey, key takeaways and next steps for our global partners.
Founded in 2009, Hebei Huaming Laye is a professional maker of scented candles, household candles, religious candles and bespoke home fragrance solutions. Equipped with standard workshops and a complete quality management system, we hold BSCI, Sedex, ISO 9001, CE, RoHS and REACH certifications. We support bulk wholesale as well as flexible OEM and ODM private label services for retailers, importers and brands across Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. The Canton Fair remains our most important offline platform, allowing us to meet loyal long-term clients face to face and present new collections to prospective buyers.
Our intensive preparation started long before the opening. Our team in Hebei sorted, inspected and packed hundreds of samples into sturdy aviation cases, carefully protecting glass jar candles, gift sets and catalogues for long-distance transport. Every selected sample passed burn tests, fragrance evaluation, appearance checks and packaging validation to uphold our factory quality standard. The team then travelled to Guangzhou for the exhibition.
Onsite, we worked with contractors to build our branded booth. We set up aluminium frames, brand backdrops and warm spotlights tailored for aromatherapy displays. The product team unpacked samples and arranged them by fragrance line, vessel, wax type and usage scenario, repeatedly adjusting layout, height and lighting so visitors could quickly grasp our products and customisation capacity.
Once the fair opened, our sales team welcomed a steady stream of buyers from morning to closing. Customers tested fragrances, reviewed catalogues and raised detailed questions about raw materials, MOQs, lead times, private label artwork, safety compliance and pricing. Our sales representatives held one-on-one discussions, shared past project cases and collected local consumer trend updates. Some regular online partners came to negotiate expanded cooperation, while first-time buyers shared their seasonal promotion and retail layout plans, delivering priceless first-hand market intelligence.
A note from customer Norman Nolasco deeply inspired our team. A former software developer new to physical products, he launched custom scented candles from us as the core of his “intention kits”. Paired with his self-developed meditation app, the candles help users find calm amid busy modern life. He praised the intact delivery, fine craftsmanship and pleasant scent protected by our packaging. His story reminded us that we are not only producing candles, but making small carriers of peace for end users thousands of miles away. This belief pushes us to optimise packaging, stabilise fragrance formulas and strictly control burning performance even under tight deadlines.
We also gained insights from casual chats in exhibition corridors. Importers widely cited pain points including rising logistics costs, growing preference for sustainable soy wax, tighter regional home fragrance safety rules and strong demand for holiday candle gift sets. Between appointments, our team jotted down feedback and sorted business cards.
Daily work continued after exhibition hours. Each evening, we held debriefs in hotel rooms, inputting lead information into our internal system, grading prospect intent and reviewing all conversations. We summarised which fragrances and packaging drew the most attention, which certifications were most requested and emerging customisation demands. We set clear follow-up priorities, adjusted sample shipment schedules and brainstormed improvements for future booth designs.
On the closing day, we dismantled the booth and repacked samples. Though worn out, we returned with new connections, verified trend data, direct product feedback and stronger client ties. The end of the fair marks the start of follow-up service rather than the end of cooperation.
We identified four major global trends for candles and home fragrance. Sustainability is increasingly prioritised; buyers favour natural soy wax, clean-burn formulas, recyclable jars and traceable raw material documentation. Private label and custom design demand keeps rising, with clients seeking exclusive scent blending, custom vessels, label and gift box design, plus small trial orders. Seasonal gift sets for Christmas, Valentine’s Day and local festivals retain strong market appeal. Compliance standards grow stricter, especially REACH, CE and safety test requirements for Europe and North America, with consistent batch quality highly valued.
These findings will guide our Hebei factory. Our R&D team will develop new formulas based on popular fragrances collected onsite. Production and technical teams will streamline custom order workflows, speed up OEM enquiry responses and strengthen compliance-focused quality checks. Our sales team is now following up systematically: sending confirmation emails, arranging sample delivery, issuing quotations and scheduling online meetings. We value every visitor, whether we had a long discussion or a brief sample viewing.
We sincerely thank every buyer who stopped by our booth. We know cross-border success relies on reliable manufacturing, stable quality, transparent communication and reliable after-service. We serve clients of all sizes and keep refining our services with fair feedback. Norman’s story shows that mutual trust can turn ordinary candles into meaningful, life-enriching products.
If you could not meet us in Guangzhou, our international sales team is ready to share catalogues, send samples, discuss private label ideas and arrange virtual factory tours.
Moving forward, Hebei Huaming Laye will keep attending key international trade shows, upgrade our candle range and build lasting win-win partnerships worldwide. Conversations begun at this Canton Fair will carry on online and offline. We believe sincere face-to-face communication plus solid manufacturing strength will unlock more opportunities for the global home fragrance industry.
